iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus arrived with a bang to the market as Apple bettered its own prebooking and sale records with their release. Apple could hardly enjoy the party though and soon ‘bendgate’, iOS8 bugs, some security lapse with iCloud played spoilsport. To rub salt into the wounds, many iOS apps were not initially compatible with the larger and improved screen of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Facebook owned Whatsapp had the same problem with the two newbies from Apple. Many other apps with display and resolution issue upgraded the version quickly with improved compatibility. Released in September, iPhone 6 had to wait quite long for the most popular messenger apps, WhatsApp, to make the changes.
Finally now, WhatsApp is upgraded for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus to perfectly adapt the screen display. WhatsApp is now available on App Store in 2.11.14 version for download for iOS powered devices with the newly introduces features. It has also silenced the critics who have recently blamed WhatsApp fro not being quick in optimizing the versions.
WhatsApp has introduced some more interesting features recently, that includes the receipt report as ‘blue tick’ to show that the sent message has been received by the receiver and a few versions are even featuring an option to hide them as well. iPhone makers must be hoping for a lot more positive in the market.
