Laptop Overheating

My laptop is overheating! This is one of the common statements made by most of the laptop users. The problem of laptop overheating is quite common especially with people who use laptop for hours on a daily basis. So let us first see that what exactly causes the laptop to overheat –

A laptop battery has pressurized containers and the battery generates a moving charge, or electricity. The electronic components, because it is laptop, are packed tightly with little breathing space. This lack of breathing space poses limitation for the heat produced when the laptop is being used. And when due to any factor that vent is also not able to emit the heat out, it leads to the problem of laptop overheating. This over heating is certainly not good for either the laptop or its user because:
  • It may lead to explosion o battery
  • It may lead to a short circuit that may cause an accidental fire
  • It may even cause the user’s skin to burn if the laptop is placed on bare skin
  • It may lead to damage of laptop’s internal parts or even in few cases cause the battery to melt.

The point here is that laptop overheating may not only lead to a monetary loss for the user but may be even dangerous in some cases.
